Hoping I can catch someone with a similar issue with their Dog and possibly point me in the right direction.
Have a 2010 Big Dog K9 EFI.
In April of this year while riding (or not riding), occasionally the speedo screen, tach guage and running lights just turn off. If while riding the engine runs fine and never cuts out. Eventually everything will just come back on. The main problem is no blinkers or break lights when it happens. The headlight stays on surprisingly.
Took the battery out and load tested which seemed fine. It is 4 years old though but kept on a tender. Starts just fine every time.
Took the EHC out and cleaned the connections and reapplied di-electric grease. Didn't seem to make a difference.
Have wiggled every wire under the seat and checked every ground wire I can find.
Debating to either take the tank or speedo off and start wiggling those wires, or try a new battery, but thought I'd ask for some help first.
While sitting in the garage, on a tender, key on just sitting there it can happen. Then they can come back on all by themself without touching anything. A bit confused but can't really take the bike out with the chance of no blinkers and break lights. Also thought maybe a weak circuit breaker but wouldn't know where to start on that.
Welcome to any criticism and help.
Thanks
