Hope you folks don't mind. Just made a deal on a 2008 Ridgeback. Having it shipped to NY from OK. I am sure the wait will be brutal, but I have the fatboy to play with until then. I am sure I will have my fair share of questions, but hope to contribute when possible.

I was also considering a 2007 Big Bear 300 sled. I hope I made the right decision.

Moog5050 congrats and welcome to the pound. Big Bear's are sweeeeet. I was considering a Big Bear Devil's Advocate myself but opted for the Mastiff. You won't have any regrets, these Big Dogs are Hot! :2thumbs:

Welcome MOOG, you should have no regrets. You have choosen one badass ride. And I feel your pain I bought my bike from the road on a work trip and had to wait two and a half months before seeing and riding the damn thing.

Finally got her in - 4 weeks late (thanks haulbikes.com). I have to admit, the bike is even nicer than I expected. Seller never told me it has the chrome package and the paint is absolutely beautiful in person. It's also like brand new, 3700 miles. Only issues are that the speedometer only works sometimes (but tach seems to always work) and the left front turn signal running light is out, but signal works. Hopefully I can get those straightened out. I must admit, it is a bit more of a handful to ride than the lo (both handling and because its a riigid), but I am sure I will get accustomed to it soon.

Here are few phone photos. I would like to thank the forum for their help in convincing me this is the bike for me. I now have serious thoughts of selling the lo, but will wait until next spring to decide because I love that bike too.

BTW - if anyone can identify that intake for me, it would be appreciated. Also, this motor either has a cam or the stock motor really lopes and moves too. The seller did not seem very knowledgeable.

BTW,

Don't go riding and expect to not be asked a billion questions. People want to take pictures, etc. And don't go to Hooters or you will end up with this

Very very Nice! I have a Goldwing GL1800 and a rigid '05 Pitbull. I will NEVER sell my Wing.
I have the best of both worlds. I realy wanted a Ridgeback, but got too good of a deal on my Pitbull. Guess I have to live with that decision.

you will adjust to the ride... i cant get enough of mine. i've had mine 5 months and and have put over 3000 miles on her. spending more time with the big dog than the harley by a long shot.

:2thumbs:Awesome bike. What sissy bar bag is that? I like it and want one.:2thumbs:
The bag is an extra large (12") round tool bag from Fox Creek leathers. I love everything I have purcahsed from them. Very well made. I think it cost around $80-90.
