body shops use a two part apoxy which is sometimes used to glue instead of welding panels on the stuff is called panel bonding adhesive is incredibly strong I've seen truck box sides put on with this aposed to welding, check with a local collision shop

3m panel bonding adhesive. My oreillys stocks it and most any that mixes paint should also.

I use a special plastic repair kit that actually melts the plastic back together.
I like to put them on the bike frame and do the repair as sometimes they can have stresses put on them that your not aware of.
But any of the previous methods work also.

A full repair for two covers usually takes about 4 hours @ $40 an hour.
Thats just the plastic repair work, replacing missing tabs etc.
Panel filling and paint are on the owner.

Wonder why these plastic covers are so expensive, I understand the design but $300+ for some plastics covers is just crazy
LOL....if you saw the tooling to make them and how much just one set of that tooling costs, never mind the cost of machine that tooling has to go in to form them, you would not think $300 is "crazy".

I do believe you will need a special dispenser excuse my wording but it would be like a duel calk gun so the product mixes together evenly but again a shop or retailer would know more about that
3m auto mix gun. But they aren't cheap.

Op if you're interested pm me tomorrow and I can get you part numbers. There's 2 diff guns one cheap and one not so cheap

But wasn't all that existing?
LOL, whats that got to do with anything its still expensive.
And anyone "willing" to put them in their expensive machine want to do at least 1,000 sets at a time and even then they want a rather large amount for each set. No money in storing a thousand sets of covers, even at $300 a set, that will probably last 50 years....lol
You could own a Pitbull that some are paying $999 for a set.
