my repair shop lost the heat shield of my exhaust pipe connecting to the front cylinder. :oldbang:
Cant find the part and Vance and Hines don't have it anymore.

hence, looking to buy either the front heat shield only or the entire exhaust system:

Vance & Hines big radius 2 into 1 part # 28007 (fits BDM K-9)

liferider

Looking forward to retirement
I would tell your shop, let's go pipe shopping on their credit card! Also call Amy at Strokers. You might get lucky.

Tks Doug; appreciate it. those fit Harleys, but would not fit BD K-9.....part 28007
But Travis has the complete set which I am now purchasing.

Really great to have this forum - I have always found my stuff and help when I needed it.

hi Rob
don't mind telling in the open here; Lifestyle Cycles in Anaheim, CA.
They got my bike since 4 1/2 months already. had to rebuild the transmission, which they sent to Baker and put on a new front tire and a horn. Plus getting a new regulator for the charging system.
I told them that i think the transmission needed to be rebuilt, but they thought it was the primary.....which they rebuilt and well, it was not that, but the transmission. At the end, I went to pick up the bike and the heat shield was missing....how can you lose that. Anyhow, they couldn't find the part. Then they had a guy who can do it manually on his machine, but he was on vacation and upon his return he said he can't do it etc etc etc......and so, 4.5 months later I am hopeful that at the end of October I can take some rides again.
Bottom line, it is a headache and I didn't have the bike for the entire summer season.
cheers

Man 4.5 months downtime just for a trans rebuild what a shame. Sorry to hear that.
