looking for some advice

I normally don't post much but I do read a lot. Now I'm looking for advice from the experts. On 8/21/14 I was traveling in the middle of three lanes of south bound traffic. I had a distance on the traffic behind me which is why the driver that pulled out of the parking lot to go across didnt see me. I was on the brakes moving left hoping it would stop but never did. When I ran out of room I was at his front bumper. I squeezed the front brakes and the front of the bike dropped out as I hit the car. I am very lucky that I did not strike the car with my body. I ended up with scrapes and a dislocated left shoulder. The dog was not so lucky. Bent the tank, front fender, forks and broke off the pegs. Their insurance is offering to let me buy it back from them for about 3k. What are your thoughts. I will figure out how to add pics when im not on my phone.

I'd buy it back. At 3k you could just sell the motor and get that. If the frame isn't bent it would be an easy fix. Glad you are ok..

I'd offer them 2k.
My dad always said never take the first offer and never pay the asking price.
Sounds like it will take several thousand just in parts to get it back like it was.
