Looking for a product

Anyone know of a product that will tilt my handle bars forward? Like a beveled shim or something. Mastiff handlebars sit so low, I'd like to tilt the bars a degree or two to make a more comfortable ride. If I just use spacers to raise them, because of the rake, it also pulls them closer to me and that's the last thing I want. So I'm looking for an alternative. Hell I might not even have the correct handlebars on my bike, who knows. Are all the BDM handlebars the same? Do some have different rise and pull back?

Are you sure your bushings aren't just warn out.
The stock rubber bushings will start giving after awhile which can cause the handlebars to tilt backwards.

Like Curtis and Franco already said, check bushings for play. Otherwise, there is a company making angled aluminum bushings. But, being that they are aluminum, I'm sure you will get a lot more vibration than the Poly and rubber.

Franco, looking at your bushings, they are much more worn than mine are. If I work the bars back and forth I might get .25" -.33" movement.
I like to know which BDM bars have the least pull back.
Maybe get out the cutting wheel and cut the center support out. twist the bars out where I want them, then re-weld and re-chrome.

Also my handlebars have two threaded mounting holes on the back of the center section. Is this a clue as to what model they came from or are they all that way? My bike is an 05' Mastiff by the way.

Post any modification you do as I would like my bars forward just a bit too. Sounds like cut and re weld and chrome might be the only solution.

Not that I want you guys to shop from this company (I would rather see you shop from the site vendors) but these are the bushings I'm talking about that have a 5 degree angle to them LA Choppers Chrome Angled Riser Bushing Kit | 505-805 | J&P Cycles
But before you do this, I would look at getting new Polyurethane bushings if you have any play at all. 1/4" of movement is a lot...you shouldn't have any!!! At least that way you are still getting vibration dampening.

I agree with %100 about the vibration problem. I think other wise the search would be over. Drag Specialties has them in 5° and 10° models. Got to have the dampening bushings. I can't imagine trying to ride without them.

Ridgeback bars come easily an inch further back than K9, K9 over inch further back than Chopper... Don't remember of other models, that is worth checking. I swapped bars with Chopper on my K9, big difference with my long arms.
