Looking at a new (to me) Dog!

The local dealer has a nice 2005 Chopper they just took in on trade. It only has 2000 miles on it. They are asking $17,000 but that seems a little high. I was thinking it might make a nice second bike. The bike fits like a glove. What do you guys think? (couldn't get the pic to load so I posted the link)

Looks like a nice scoot Jeff. Get a full back ground on the bike if you can before buying (do your homework). I think you can get the price down a little more also...:2thumbs:

While the mileage is low, the bike is 5 years old no matter how you slice it. Seems like a very generous price in favor of the dealer to me. My buddy bought a '08 K9 for $18,000.
But if you got the money and can afford the extra profit, go for it. Otherwise, do some looking around before you make the plunge.

The NADA average retail value is just under $14K and low retail is $10.5K. I would offer him low retail and go from there.

work 'em ........asking price is just that a high ball dream if they can get it. Start low enough to hear NO. I think the bike looks sweet. I like the old hot rod flame job for sure. Let us know how it goes.......and GOOD LUCK.

I like to old school flames too. They are pinstriped in a cool looking blue color.

17K is a little high, at least in my area of the North East. This is the bike that was at my local Harley dealer... The guy paid under 10K for it. Its now on Craigs list for $12900

I got mine on the market for $15,500 its and 05 with 6300 miles and comes with extra set of pipes, passenger seat and pegs. All schedule maintenance done at dealeship.

It's a good looking scoot!! I just bought a 2005 with 3000 miles for $13,000.00 in awesome condition!! I'd offer him much less!!! No more then $14,000!!!
