Warning to all you Texas riders! The Dog is scheduled to be riding the Twisted Sisters April 18th. Heading to Fredericksburg on the 17th and back on the 19th. Phoenix will be flying low showing the HD boys how it's done old school. No stereo, no fairing, no GPS!! Me, the wind and the sound of mechanical music!!! Can't wait!!!

I did that ride last year...I would say I would join you for the weekend as that's a great trip but just got back from Big Bend.

Make sure you ride Rt 16 from Kerrville down to Medina at least. Honestly in my opinion that's more scenic than the twisted sisters just not as long of a ride. Watch the speed quite a few hair pin turns and watch for any sand.

When I went I road 16 down from Kerrville all the way to Bandera then West to Utopia on 470 and then over to Leakey. Once into Leakey there is the only gas station on the South side of town, and a nice place for beers and lunch on the west side of town. You can't miss it, it's a huge motorcycle shop and bar.

Would be cool to ride it with you Eric. We went down with a group last year too and you are right about 16. We stayed in Kerrville last year. Rode the Mastiff there and back but went two up on the wife's Fat Boy for the Sisters. She wasn't comfortable enough with the bike for that. Still not sure what will happen this year, but I'm hoping she rides her Streetglide so I can take the Dog.

We should talk about Talimena for this Fall....

Unfortunately I will be out of town, otherwise I'd join you. It's been a few years since I've ridden those sisters. Have fun and be safe.
