Lone survivor

Anyone seen the movie? I was stationed at sdv team one where many of the members of that platoon were based from. I briefly met them before they left on the deployment but that movie really hit me in the stomach hard! I am not the crying type but it brought tears to my eyes. :flag: they gave all !

One of the old ones.
Tough to watch. Read a review indicating that most of the incidents are factual. They took a bit of license at the end with the 'flatline' scene.
I was Army 66-68, and have little framework to understand contemporary warfare in the Mideast. Dunno how those guys can do their jobs with ROE and wrong-minded bureaucrats bumping them all the time....

I saw it the first weekend it showed and it's a great movie. Especially being a true story told by the "Lone Survivor" himself. I can relate and know the feeling when the fucking radio doesn't work or when your about to get extracted and you can't communicate with the choppers because your radio is busted, that sucks big time especially if you are carrying wounded man. God bless our troops and keep them out of harms way. UUUURRRAA Semper Fi.
