Loctite- One stop shopping??

Energy One
Need a little help here, at work, been on the internet (on my breaks ) looking for loctite as I will be doing my clutch soon (parts on the way), and according to my BDM manual I need the following : Loctite 2760 RED, Loctite 2440 BLUE(which i think now is 243), Loctite 222 (purple) , Loctite 7649 Primer N, and Loctite 5699 Grey Flange Sealant. I would like to do one stop shopping and order just what I need, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! ..........I did do a forum search but it seems this topic was covered some time ago.......Figured this was the best place to ask!

FYI, I have been using Loctite 222MS red liquid and Loctite 243 blue liquid. I know the service manual has different numbers but I am not throwing these away and they seem to work. If you go to the Loctite website, they list the types and strength.

Thanks Nukeranger,
So does Loctite 222MS red replace the 2760 red? as the 2760 is real hard to find locally , even on ebay. Any ideas on where I can buy all these at one store? I called my local NAPA, Fastenals store and they dont have these! Didnt think it would be so hard to find this stuff

Blue is Good

Loctite 243 Medium Strength Blue Threadlocker

Loctite® 243™ Primerless Medium Strength Blue Threadlocker is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners between 1/4" and 3/4" (6 to 20 mm), which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. The thixotropic nature of Loctite 243 reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate. Loctite 243 provides robust curing performance. It not only works on active metals (e.g. brass, copper) but also on passive substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces. The product offers high temperature performance and oil tolerance. It tolerates minor surface contaminations from various oils, such as cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids.

Loctite 243 is the recommended replacement for Loctite 2440™.

RAW - what's the difference between Loctite 243 and Locktite "Quicktape" 249? Both say "medium strength threadlocker".

I bought the "Quicktape" as it looked easier to use for installing some new mirrors (using Big Dog's mirror adapter bolts).

I haven't had time to do this yet, and thought I'd check before getting too far into it to make sure I've got the right Loctite application.

Thanks! :)

Same here in Hawaii. The Permatex red and blue will perform the same function as the Loctite red and blue. Haven't seen a Permatex purple yet.

When you use tape you consume more product {good for loctite} if you use liquid you get deeper in the threads and use much less product.

I know I'm gonna catch some shit for this but I have 2 really simple loctite rules:

#1 If I don't want it to fall off, I use red.

#2 If I know I'm gonna be taking it off alot, I use just a little bit of red.

The only loctite in my toolbox is red. It's gotten me this far...

We use the red 262 at work. I figure if it can hold an aircraft together at 30,000 ft., it should hold the Dog together at 4 in.....

I've seen a big selection of threadlockers at Lowe's, and most auto parts stores carry several brands.
