thought id share the led strip light i added under the fender, found a 18 inch red strip light on fleabay 3 bucks or so, i then pulled fender off and cleaned and used epoxy to fasten to fender, then ran wire along inside of fender up to a switch under seat and then direct to battery with a fuse,,if this dont get peoples attention at stop lights nothing will,,it seems to be a little dimmer than having the brake lights applied:cheers:

:2thumbs: Looks good!

You're may be like me, I want all the lights I can have to the rear bright and plenty of them! Heck I would like to hire a little leprechaun to ride in my rear pack and jump out at lights with sparklers in both hands dancing around while I am stopped at the light. I'd probably forget and pull out leave'n the little feller though. :D

Seriously though, I had a friend about five years ago that went for a 3 mile ride to town dropping off a rented movie, got back to his house and slowed to turn across the four-lane into his drive when a guy tagged him at almost 70 miles an hour estimated. I heard that the left turn indicator on his bike was still blinking when EMS arrived, he did not make it. Ever since then I am looking in the mirrors more than in front of me at lights and when slowing to turn now.

One of the old ones.
Good job!! I put some of those as blinker signals on my Mean Streets front end...worked out fine..just glued a 3 inch strip on each side under the tree strut, wired it up.....worked like a charm.
I might have to put some of those lights on the back of my K9, too. Do you think the light strip should be wired to the brake lights or running lights.

It does not help if the idiot is texting his girlfriend like the dummy that ran over me. But what should that matter he did not have a drivers licence or insurance either.

So you just ran the wires to a on off switch with a 30 amp fuse directly to the battery? You didn't have to tie them into the running lights or brake lights? In your case its just on or off?

yes on or off, ran them to a toggle switch mounted on frame just above the side covers, and tied into battery with a fuse, i did see somewhere a light kit that will give you turns and brakes that lookes really cool, might be on utube ,but i wanted nothing to do with "messing "around with any of the electronics on these bikes becouse of ech problems.
