Lights on...ignition off.

New to the forum. Maybe ya'll can help. My lights are coming on while the ignition is turned off. Any suggestions? THANKS

replace the ignition switch

Thanks. I pulled the coil cover and disconnected the ingnition switch. When I reconnect the small black wire to the battery, the lights come back on....

It starts to fire up, then shuts down.

I'd check the orange wire coming from the ignition switch to see if it's chaffed and grounded somewhere...
