Mine lasted a month on the 117. Working with Amazon to try and return it. No bought a Braille to replace it which was expensive!

I would recommend a battery from Wal-Mart over this one and cheaper too. 20lb AGM with core should run you under $60 at Wal-Mart and mine lasted 2.5 years on my 107.

The big benefit other than price alone to Wal-Mart over this one is the Wal-Mart battery you load the acid so you get a 100% fresh battery. The lightening Start who knows how long it sat.

I would be hesitant on an acid battery because of corrosion (not erosion),:oldlaugh:
I had an acid filled battery in my Intruder and the battery box was on the bottom of the bike, and even the battery box had acid on it, I wouldn't want that shit getting down over the tranny, wiring and shocks on my Mastiff.

Your AGM battery you have now is Acid, just considered " fully sealed" no difference really. It's still an AGM battery with sulfuric acid the fiberglass absorbs the liquid when you pour it in and becomes leak proof. You never add water or anything.

My last one did end up exploding on me, long story and no acid came out the top.

Yeah I understand it does, but without the caps and no vent tube I have never seen corrosion on any of the battery's (AGM) I have had in the Dog, I think fully sealed I a huge difference.
I also think they should date stamp AGM battery's so you know the MFG date. On the other hand when you put the acid in a battery and charge it, you know the battery is fresh.

Isn't that what I said? Lol

The battery from Wal-Mart is still AGM so drop in the acid, glass Mat (fiberglass) soaks if up! Wammy new AGM that is partially sealed. I never tried but I bet if you waited a day and flipped it over it wouldn't leak.

I agree All batteries should have a date stamp. My Braille did have a manufacturer note and hand written date with benchmark #'s. 607 cranking amps and made on 1/22/15 ordered in May off Amazon so already 4 months old before I got my hands on it. This note cost me +$150 over the Wal-Mart battery I run in the 107. Not sure it's worth it is what I'm trying to say.
