Light box under seat by Batterie?

Ok new to bigdogs and have a silly ?? What's the small box with the harness plugged into it under the seat? Has 2 rows of lights that go from green to yellow to red? Is this factory or an upgrade?

It's the factory EHC (Electronic Harness Controller)

Do a forum search.

Wire Plus

ANd many on here will say get rid of it as soon as you can. I just replaced mine with the Wire Plus kit, and couldnt be happier.

Whats the problems I will run into with the factory EHC? Just noticed the bushings in the handlebars are bad also and the bars have a lot of play up and down. Seems to answer why my throttle cable has scratched the Tank. a Small Cha Ching caused a bigger cha ching!

As far as the EHC goes. You may never have a problem with it or you may have as many as most of us and want to replace it. Everything from it just randomly shutting you down to gauges and lights working when they want.:bang: Some go with a Wires Plus set up and others go with a PDM from Big Dog. So if you start having problems, there are solutions.:up:
