I got a real interesting answer from S&S on the question about lifter limiters...
They said I didn't need them if I have compression releases??... reasoning is that they help starting by not letting the lifters bleed down so much when sitting. They also will keep the valve train a little quieter just after first starting. Cam size doesn't make a difference according to them.
And they said they help also for extended high RPM use. I'm not going to be doing any road racing in the near future with my big dog...
