Ilifter question
I read somewhere that the lifters need to be changed out at 20,000 miles. Is that correct or a bunch of crap?

S&S will tell you 25,000 for the EVO style motor. I've done mine then because I'm paranoid and then sold the old ones on eBay for 120.00

I think going to 50,000 is probably taking a bet you may loose.

I changed mine out around 24,000 miles. Also changed out my cam while at it. Went from the 546 to the 585, gave the scoot a little more pep to it's step...:2thumbs:

Let me know if I can help you out with them. I have helped quite a few members on the site with their S&S needs, including Brew when he swapped out his cam if I remember correctly.

Here to help.

Thank you for the offer sounds like I will be taking you up on that offer at the end of the 2013 riding season. I think the 585 cam is an upgrade worth making. Still WTF 20 to 25,000 miles from a set of lifters. Thats just eff-in sad!
Thanks,
Scooter
