About twin cams. I used to have FXDWG. Twin Cam 96 engine. I loved the bike...for the look and vibration. Compared to it, the K-9 is like Honda Gold Wing, smooth, no vibration at all, just big and loud. Building your own chopper is great as long as you know what you are doing and you have time, experience and skills. In addition you might have a problem with registering it.
