Life Changing Events

Hey to all my friends & extended BDM family,

I just wanted to tell you how much this forum has helped me get through several life changing events the past year. First off after 34 years of marriage
I found myself like many have before me all alone and going through a tough divorce. The one thing that helped me get through it all was my bikes and some very close friends including some from this site. I survived the divorce although very much lighter in the wallet and I had met a wonderful woman in the process. I decided that being from a small town that I needed and wanted
a change of residence so I could start a new life without being judged on a daily basis. I had always wanted to live and someday retire near the beach and I already had a few friends in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I located a job and secured a place to stay and put all of my belongings in storage other then my bikes. I moved in June and started getting use to the area and the culture, I found a home to buy and was able to secure a moragage on my own credit that I could afford. I tried to keep busy and make new friends during this transition period which in my opinion is key. Jobs are very hard to come by here giving the economy and that this place like many beach areas are tourist driven. My girlfriend wasn't able to find a job while seaching everyday for close to 6 months, so I decide to sell one of my bikes. As allot of you know it isn't the best time to sell anything these days, but I managed to sell my BDM on Craig's list. So as luck would have it after selling the BDM, my girlfriend was offered a job in her chosen field just the other day. So anyway my old H-D Electra Glide was starting to get a little tired and it was going to need some major overhauling and its my only transportation. So this past weekend I pulled the trigger and bought a new H-D FLTR (Roadglide) and traded my old bagger on it. So now being dogless except for a few odd parts that I have laying around I hope you guys will let me hang around from time to time and if your ever in the Myrtle Beach area let me know and I give you the nickle tour. Again, thank you for everything and I hope you ride safe.
Peace Out

Sounds like it's getting better, good luck. Remember, it's cheaper to rent a woman than it is to buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guy's,
Thanks for all the kind words and the encourgement, like most of us know we all came together with one common bond and that was our love for BDM's. I will try and get my lady to snap a few pic's in the next few days and post them up for all to see. It doesn't compare to a BD but it should provide me with years of transportation and enjoyment. Also don't forget I still have a few BDM items for sale and also a few H-D items that won't fit my new scooter. Everyone please take care, ride safe, and Peace Out.....
