License tag folding bracket

The infamous license plate folding bracket! Well let me tell you about this folding bracket; I call it a FU Bracket. I’m thinking I need to do something about this license tag that sticks out and I hit it every time I go around the bike! This bracket pivots 180 degrees; you can either hide your plate, expose it horizontally or expose it against the frame. The bracket by itself works very well, but once installed it pivots on its own. The spring is not strong enough to hold the tag bracket in one position.
I do not recommend this folding bracket to anyone

This one is for Gas Man, the reflectors will stay. This is one of the things I like to keep in my chopper. Lots of ridding time at night !

Hey, what's with all the sand or spots on the paint in the second pic? :whoop:

Get that thing cleaned up. :D

A lot of guys have done the vertical mount. You might want to try that. I don't have any problems with mine in the original position except when I pushing it to a gas station!

If you do decide to mount the original one vertically drill the holes first before you send it out for chrome.

Later,

I would guess you got a bad one, as lots of folks have the same bracket with no issues. Take it back.
I flipped mine, countersunk the pre drilled holes and my plate is now "out of the way".

Yup, your pup needs cleaned.

Reflectors are gonna stay? Really?
Well, perhaps you could get some smaller ones? Or better yet, some small LED lights?
