I'll stick with the Deka thank you. Dont want the Chop to end up like this.

Maybe the hottest big dog ever...
You are right - burning risk is not worth the switch to Lithium battery.
Purchased a panther Li Ion battery for my pit bull and took it out after some days with the same in mind.
Less weight and space for spare plugs and tool was my idea.
Works good - loaded and pull over very good - any problem with alternator produces shit with tension and the result is burning.
With this in mind i took it out.

Just maintain it properly. I have been using Antigravity for the last 2 years on my both bikes, no problem. They are lighter, more powerful and last longer. We've got tons of electric cars over here, work just fine.
Sure sometimes they work just fine. But my luck sucks and I’m not taking that chance. The tried and true battery works. The BigDogs like em and never heard of one catching fire from it. Best of luck with whatever you use.

I’m a Deka man myself also on my bikes, BUT I have lithiums in my bass boat for the trolling motor, as a matter of fact just about all bass boat manufacturers put lithium now for several years. They are awesome for trolling motors. The ones in my boat are computer and blue tooth controlled so I can monitor them with my phone and will send me notifications if any problems.
I havnt heard of any boat fires from batteries but if mine burns up me and my insurance been wanting a new one!!!

We all trust our battery types.
But know everybody the do s and dont of battery charging at the different types like
acid, sealed and gel / fiberglass batteries?
Some things you need to know:

desulfate batteries:
acid type no problem - but not often.
AGM/VRLA (closed Batterys) Can do but more risk for battery if much sulfation happened.
deep load less then 50% is not good for battery life.
maintenance free types:
If there is mud (loose crystals) make a short circuit Regeneration is impossible.

Lithium battery makes no sulfate - This is a lead battery problem. tension:

For ideal loading tension ask your dealer and note there is different tension hot and
cold weather.

Take care and battery life last longer.
