Energy One

Sorry I haven't been around in a while. Work is good now and some really crappy things as well. Last week my son in laws Mom was having a medical procedure done, should last about an hour. She even left the coffee pot set to have her coffee ready when she got home. She lost her life during the procedure. They buried her Friday last week.
My wife's younger brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer two years ago and treated for that 1 and half years,,, opps, wrong cancer! By this time treatments had kicked his butt pretty bad, and the new treatments even worst. About 4 months ago his treatment liked to killed him. He made a little come back, but through it all it took it's toll on his strength throughout his body. His arms and legs looked like Germany's holocost victims bodies. He was worn out! Saturday AM early I went over there to see him and read to him, he was awake which was unusual, the last fours chapters of Revelation, and then John 3 verse 16. He could barely talk and barely move at all at this point. I asked him if he believed what I had just read from the Bible. He nodded "Yes"! Kinda barely smiled! I asked him if he wanted to hear some music, he nodded favorably so I pulled up on You Tube a group I listen to in my truck, Elevation Worship, The Resurrection Song! I already had the door shut so we jammed out to it until my wife got there about 7 times into replaying it. He went to sleep about the third time through it playing. A little after my wife got here I got up and told him I would be back in a little bit, I was going to slip out for some breakfast. He looked me straight in the eyes and nodded his head, and lifted his hand barely and waved as if to say thank you. Little did realize that would be the last music He would hear on this side of heaven. He was asleep when I came back and slept most of the rest of the AM. They came and got him to take him to hospice about 1ish. He lost his battle with cancer less than 16-17 hours later.
Sometimes life sucks! Sometimes life really SUCKS!
I am humbled to have gotten the opportunity to have gotten to share with him the scripture and to ask him if he believed it! He nodded "Yes" with what would turn out to be the very last of his energy left. A little later Saturday I was reading just beyond John 3 16 where it said "Those who believe in Jesus shall have eternal life!"
Please let all those people you love know it, don't regret not doing it!
Billy Graham's last words where to his 11 year old (I guess) to his great grand daughter, as she told him she loved him. "I Love You!"

Thanks for sharing that Ray. Very inspiring and true. We do need to confess with our mouth that we believe. I am sorry for your losses and can only pray that you and your family will be comforted. Be blessed brother.

Oh Ray, this made me cry. I'm so very sorry for your losses. My prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

You are so right. I'm a firm believe in leaving no word left unspoken. So many people let pride get in the way and one day, they may regret it.

Thank you for reminding us all how fragile life is and how important it is to live it in love.

Hugs

Hey Ya'll,
My wife is dealing better now as time is passing,, She and I appreciate your prayers too much. I think she is coming to grips with the fact it was the chemo and the cancer combined that just wiped him out. He didn't have anything left and he told us all while he could still talk He was "Tired"! I did find out I was not the only one that had that "Jesus" talk with him and that makes my wife feel better about the entire thing too. It still seems weird not stopping everyday at the hospital when I got off work in the AM, they did what they could, all this is above any of our paygrades when it gets to that point. My wife is trying to stay busy when she is off work, which really helps, painting at my daughter's house in the grand daughter's bedroom.
A cool little story we all found out during this,, His best friend since the second grade, met on the playground in a fist fight. This guy flew in from Florida with his wife, and cried like a baby almost the entire time, like a very close brother. He smiled as he shared this story with all of us, even with the tears in his eyes. He said both Mom's had to come get them from school, possibly both got their butts busted . Then he told us all they never had a cross word since and had been best friends all this time. ( This kind of friendship doesn't happen much any more! )

anyway we do sincerely appreciate all your thoughts and prayers,,

Thank you,
Ray
