Lesson Learned!!!!

I bought a 2007 K9 with 2400 miles. First thing I do when I get it in, drop the fluids and replace them. Last K9 I had did the same thing and went Amsoil in the engine, Redline Synthetic in the primary and tranny. Worked great. Did the same on this bike. Syn in primary did not work out well. Took the outter primary cover off, pulled the clutch pack apart and cleaned it up and let it air out for a few days and refilled with RevTech primary fluid.....works like a champ. Guess this pup isn't the synthetic type...

NEVER??? Dude I used it in my last K9 (thousands of miles, changed it again and again, time after time) and "NEVER" had issues with it so that was the reason behind putting it in my current K9. Just say'n....

Others here have had slipping problems with synthetic in the primary.

It didn't slip. I pulled clutch lever in and down to first and it would take off rolling forward. No slip but the opposite...

FWIW, don't use Syn oil in the primary!!!!! I now know this. This winter it's get'n a Baker open primary so I will wait til then to ask what "lube" to use in it

A good silicone spray helps quiet it down.

Well........ I have been using Amsoil (same 20-50 as motor) in the primary for the last 3 years now with no issues whatsoever....

And Amsoil Severe Gear 75-110 in the trans.

It just baffles me why my first bike took syn oil great and this one raises it's leg and pisses all over me. hmmmmm Think he's just sayn "give me a Baker open primary, Master"

But I also want to say this, Guys, I'm here because I want to be. I own a Dog and proud to. I've said some things that were insulting to some but were NOT meant to be. I'm a joker and I love to be a smartass. That's me but at the same time, I honestly mean no harm. That's the trouble communicating electronically, more times than not, it comes across wrong. I own a Harley and love it, I own a Dog and love it. They both simply serve their purpose and both are only the same color, that's it. Amazing how different they are beyond that ;-)
