Understand your frustration.......
I went through the same issues on my EFI bike a 2007 Bulldog when I purchased it and the other forum was still in existence.
Got a lot of grief from a lot of people being a BDM forum complaining about my issues with the bike but after it coughed and stalled and I about got ran over by a mini van with a woman and her kids in it because of it dying in the road I contacted BDM about the issues and I wanted to return it under the lemon law we had a lengthy conversation. She did slam on brakes an her kids went flying around.

Bottom line seeing how I do not want to bring up the past and relive the bullshit, BDM sent a semi- bike carrier to my house, took the bike back to Kansas and worked on it. Mind you the EFI was in it's infancy with BDM and mine is one of the first produce they worked on it and threw a parts at it to try and make it right. This is the only reason I did not play it on out, they gave it a honest effort to correct the issues. They did extend my warranty for the periods of time it was in the shop trying to work the bugs out and threw in a few goodies for my time.

Talk to them and work something out. Personally I don't think you find anyone here to listen to your whining about your bike or how much it cost. Take it for what it is worth, if you like the bike you purchased try and work with them. Sugar will get you a lot further than salt but these people here have worked through their issues either with the dealers or on their own and still own them and enjoy them as I have done.

I have converted to a Thunderheart wide band system for my EFI needs and ride the shit out of my bike. I tear up a lot of stuff on it but it is out of warranty now in my case but I have no regrets keeping it and making it what I think they should of done in the beginning.

Get with the program where you are at, ask for help to work on your bike or a good shop that has a good mechanic or two and everyone will help you in every way.

Read the lemon laws of your state if you want to know what they are on the internet but no need to look for pity here.....
Good luck with however you pursue it.
I will help you if I can..

Miami, are there no other dealers or authorized service centers near you? A service center can and will do warranty work also...

Nicely said...No Pity needed...just wanted to see what BDM has done in the past to help out a New Customer...Im keeping my bike...Would be nice if they sent a Semi and picked up mine and drop another one off...lol....I just want to RIDE!:flag:
I look into the lemon law myself too but not because I didn't want the bike anymore but just because I felt frustrated I just wanted ride it I love that bike, I had the bike for only two weeks and it took 7 weeks to get it fixed (it's a 09 wolf I bought it september 15 of this year). And now the battery is not working I'm trying to get it replace under warranty and I'd like to see my warranty extended at least for the time the bike was in the shop.

I'm in a Bad Situation...My Dealer, not saying any names, but close to El Paso Tx... does not have knowledable mechanics or salesmen for that matter...Let me paint a picture for you...Because of their lack of Product Knowledge, their bikes are the cheapest in the nation(good thing)....have in mind, they have 2008s lying around...The owner simply wants to get rid of them for good IMO...With that being said, the relationship between the Dealer and BDM has diminished...The BDM Rep is slow to respond to them and give them any support..Its a marriage gone bad...Well, my dealership hopes he sells to out-of-towners so he wont have to deal with the customer again with service...He rolls the dice and dont invest in his mechanics overall knowledge...Im caught in the middle....:bang:
Anyway the mechanic they have up here near Albuquerque in one of their branches seems pretty good I talk to him a couple time and he seems he knows his business. Hang on and contact yourself BDM costumer service, start from there.

If BD wants to be a reputable bike manufacture they should MAKE SURE that all their service companies are doing right by the company. There is absolutuly NO REASON why he should have to go hunting for a "good" service center. Some of the responses on here crack me the fuck up.

....call Big Dog...why? so you can hear the phone ring without anyone picking it up or getting back to you about said problem? As has been mentioned on this site.........

The dude just wants some satisfaction, not a bunch of juvenile answers.

IMO another person that has not done homework before buying a nine foot long polished aluminum, nicely painted ,117 cubic inch chopper or phallic symbol..........A mid life crisis machine to help one feel better about ones self and the little women around them.....
If you did your homework or knew anything about these bikes or the company youd know what you were getting yourself into, just like getting the bike dirt cheap from a non supportive dealership....so now that things havent quite worked out the way you planned, because it is all about you aint it/ you are gonna come onto a site that most of us have been through everything you have been through and could offer you any and all options on how to repair and fix your bike and situation and without even again doing your homework your gonna bash the company, the bike and the forum .......
This is not a good way to start relations within this community.......

He is not bashing the forum, we all knew what was gonna be to buy a bike like that, the problem here is the time it take to get fix the scoot in particular under warranty. It took 7 week for my bike to get fixed and it was just a crank sensor worth $120 and it was just 30 minutes of labor to get it installed. As I said many time I love my wolf and I wouldn't change it for anything else, I just wanna ride it as much as possible.

Hey I hear ya, however BigDog will only know that a dealer/service center sucks if they hear it from the customer. The service center sure ain't gonna tell BigDog that they themselves suck. I ain't trying to throw blame but like many other people on this site will tell ya they also modded the hell out of their bikes only to have problems. While under warranty if ya mod your bike from factory and ya start having problems.. not BigDogs fault. I'm not sayin that is the case here, however from earlier posts he has modded his bike. With a carb'ed bike easy to adjust, EFI not so. I have had a couple of problems with my K9, mostly chrome issues, and I contacted them directly. My front wheel during warranty and my rear one replaced at no cost out of warranty. I never called them but EMailed them and got response back within two days. That's not ancient history but this year. Anyway, sometimes dealerships/service center put warranty work last since it takes some time for them to get paid to do the work. They are struggling like everyone so if they have to choose between warranty work or a paying customer the paying customer is first. I don't think trying to contact BigDog directly is a bad thing and letting them know of frustrations with the service center. I'm hoping like most here that his problems get resolved so he can get back on the road. I believe most here want our fellow riders to enjoy their BigDog experience. :)

I think Miami needs to explain a little more in detail on how the Kurayken multicolored bling bling was installed. Was the wiring tapped into the ignition or existing wiring for that fact or was it wired straight to the battery. Sounds like you may have created your own problems. In this case the lemon law will not help and you may have voided your warranty... Just saying. Can you go into detail so we can have a clear perception on what exactly is going on here, was any other electronics installed besides the lights? Would appreciate it...:D

Big Dog can barely stay afloat, let alone start policing their mostly weak and failing dealership network. The sad fact of the matter is that if you want to get the bike running properly, and especially if you want to keep this bike for any length of time, you best start figuring it out on your own. It's empowering to know that no matter what issue comes up, at most it's gonna be a weekend in the garage and maybe a week for parts and you're back to raising hell. Having said that, I know two guys who got shit done with lawyers, and the deals ended up being some real shady area 51 type stuff, but both got satisfaction. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, and as much as I'd like to line them all up and do a long rolling burnout over their heads with a set of ice tires on, a good lawyer will get you on the road. Of course the easier, and longer term solution to the problem will be to take out the fuel injection and throw it in the goodwill box, and get over to sears and start buying tools. Everything you need to get that bike running and keep it running is right here. All you gotta do is grab ahold if your nuts and dive in.

I have only called a few times but my calls were answered in a timely manner and issues taken care of.

Orangeskullz, when did you call, who did you talk to and was your issue resolved in a timely manner?

Was watching this thread and saw orange's post about juvenile answers.
I just did a quick count and miamivice received 19 positive/helpful posts, 10 flippant/silly posts, and 4 that are neither, so far.
Moespeeds, Nomad2day & orangeskullz each have posts that are not particularly flattering to BDM, the difference however is Moespeeds' & Nomad2days' posts have good/positive info to help this new member.
:2thumbs: to you two guys!
