I recently had my bike apart for paint so I added some led lights. I went with Boogey lights. After looking at several different brands, I felt these worked the best. I purchased the ultimate cut n' click set and added 6 grenades and 2 step lights. After the install I still have more of the cut n' click lights left so I just need to find a spot for them.

My setup consist of using strips (one on each side) pointed down beneath the frame.

A small strip on the back side of the air cleaner plate.

A small strip on the bottom of the battery box.

A small strip on the inside of the belt guard, facing the rear wheel.

4 grenade lights with the black case under the tank (positioned by the tank bolts)

1 grenade light on the inside of the coil cover.

1 grenade light on the back of the air cleaner plate

1 led steplight on the back of the front brake caliper

1 led steplight on the back of the rear brake caliper

Easy install, really draw attention.

Rutro the local shop here put a set of lizard lights on a FI mastif about a 2months ago, so far so good is all I can tell you. I don't know how much the guy rides it and the bike hasn't been back for service so prob still has less than 500 miles unless he's doing his own thing.

I do not see where putting some LED accent lights on ANY of these bikes, FI or not, would cause any issues. The current draw is very, very low, and as long as they are hooked ONLY directly to the battery, should cause no issues.

Use a good quality switch, solder all connections, and shrinkwrap all connections and all should work out great. Do not use crimp connectors, they will not hold up to the vibration or moisture.

Only problem would arise if you tryed to tap into any of the wiring and draw through the EHC!! That would be a NO NO!

Rutro, I have Lizard's on my 03 Ultra classic and Customdynamics stinger and extrem pods on my 07 K-9! On the K-9 I have the sorpio alarm, i have had no problems with having the alarm on and 178 LEDs at the same time! Like bdmridgeback said, I can't see an issue with or with out EFI!

Black Dog installed lights on my 07 Bulldog= no problems
Went to Mytle Beach in 07' and had lights added to the wheels. They removed my bike from the lift after fixing up the birds nest from Black Dog and adding wheel lights. Went to start up the Dog and nothing....no clicking, just dead. Long story short...had it trailed to the BIGDOG tent, but no fixxxy, still brokkky. Three days in Mytle without a motorcycle = alot of drinking. Put bike in shop in a few months and had a new speedo and etc and etc and etc replaced........After all of the dog surgury and BDM learning what went wrong, the bike now has 5000 miles on it. Survived 1200 miles of riding through the hills of Sturgis this year and not a lick of trouble. Everyone told me about the pipes, lights, dual spike D&M air cleaner etc etc...but the bike runs and looks great. Only problem taht I had in Sturgis is keeping up with the BIGDOG boz that I meet at Salon #10. I gotta hand it to you guys...you are a bunch of crazy m...fers and I had a great time.
