LED/HID Comparison by WSW

So for those who have been waiting here are some of the initial photos we have done.
Were not really happy with these but we've been getting our nuts busted for taking to long so I at least wanted to get these up.
The HID and H4 LED replacement were done using an 03 Chopper bucket that is not in the best of condition.
I am working on video, taken while riding a back road, using a quality adjure for the HID and H4 LED Replacement to give a better visual of the differences.

Halogen Lo Beam
Halogen Hi Beam

Halogen From The Front Hi Beam

H4 LED Replacement Lo Beam
H4 LED Replacement Hi Beam

H4 LED Replacement Hi Beam From Front

LED Adjure Lo Beam
LED Adjure Hi Beam

LED Adjure from Front Lo Beam
LED Adjure from Front Hi Beam

HID

The H4 LED rivals the LED Adjure in a good Adjure of its own.
I will try not to take as long this time getting the videos up but I can't promise anything.

I had to put them side by side to see the difference. Third row is HID vs H4LED Lo beam. Looks like HID puts out barely more light but the H4 LED Lo is almost as much without the high current draw. It looks like the H4 LED Hi doesn't put out as much light as the Lo but I think it is not aimed well, cause it is the only one that lights up the tree on the right

I am very impressed with the LED bulb from the pictures. Will be one of my next purchases once I am done moving.

So, I can just buy the led replacement bulb I think I saw it on your site for like 60 bucks and swap it out for my stock h4 and all is good??? Bc if that's the case I'm sold.

If you still have the EHC or PDM kit I think you will also need a Harness Controller for the LED Replacement bulb. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Kap, please clarify this matter. I am with Crowster if that was the case.

Yes the ehc and pdm require the harness. The total bill is around the 100$ mark if I remember correctly. I believe the harness is required because the lower load of the led makes the ehc think you have blown the headlight bulb.

Yes folks, if you have the stock BD EHC or BD PDM kit you will need the interrupt harness with the bulb. This is a selectable option on the WSW H4 LED page.
The reason for the harness is due to voltage draw between the Halogen and the LED. The EHC and PDM monitor current to verify a burned out or improperly functioning Halogen bulb. LEDs draw substantially less current so on low beam the EHC thinks the light is burned out which leads to flickering.

All other systems Do Not Need the harness

Hi Curtis,

I'm sold too on the LED bulb! With the new version of the EHC module you are making for me (03 Chopper), would I need the interrupt harness?

Thanks!

No you will not need the harness. The sample pics earlier are from a 2003 Chopper with no interrupt harness.
Bare with me bro on your EHC kit. It is almost done but I have a couple of customers in front of you that fell apart a little so I am behind. :DANyone want to come help:D

Hey Curtis. No worries! I know you are making mine as a first unit, so there is R&D time! I'd rater you took your time, so no worries!

Besides, this allows me time to add the LED light and some sheep skin straps to the order!

I'll place that order on WSW tonight or tomorrow in the morning!

Thanks - Joe
