Good job! I bet you are exhausted. I've learned enough welding to be dangerous. Lol I'd like to learn more but probably the main thing is practice, practice, practice. When I studied it, it was only a small part of the metal fab that I was doing.

When I was in the excavating business I could weld good enough to get out of a jam. Whis I had taken some training. Good luck Paul. The pipeliners I work with here in Ohio make a lot of money welding gas lines together.

I've always wanted to take a welding class and need to. I am self taught and I either get a good weld or total destruction. When I get a good weld, I am like a little kid running in the house to tell my wife....look what I did.

Welding is a great trade. I am in the Construction Industry and its one of the quickest trades to learn and with practice get pretty good at. Hell welders now around the Gulf Coast areas are getting paid around $38-$42 bucks an hr. and $100 bucks a day per diem on average with all the hours they want to work. Its getting pretty hard to find enough welders for all the new work going on.

I have been certified since 1985. You will enjoy it. I build stuff all the time. Remember the RV garage! 2'' sch 80 pipe. All welded subular structure wuth Red Iron welded together and welded to 2'' pipe. Red Iron acted as a external structural.

:oldlaugh: LMAO, I've done that exact thing before

Hey Paul I have a bunch of luggage racks you can practice tig welding on.....:D
So far tig has been the most difficult to weld but would definitely consider it just to get the practice. I have only done tig in the basic course and it was difficult working filler material into the weld.

Its actually fairly simple with steel.
Steel tends to want to just flow together.
Aluminum can be the bear sometimes.
Anytime you feel like it let me know. I could use the help and would be happy to help you along with your welding abilities, not that I am a master or anything but I get the job done.
