Learning My Way (AMERICAN MADE PRIDE)

Energy One
Learning my way. Hope I'm posting these questions & statements on the proper forum. My 2005 BD BDM chopper will have pics posted soon.Tried a couple of times without any success. Got my daughter-in-law coming to the rescue. Starter is leaking oil out of two small holes per Boars Nest Oceanside Ca BD service center. Doesn't leak unless it's been ridden and even then small amount. I've been told it's not an unreasonable expectation to have a leak free BD??The owner of Left Coast Kustoms (Jim) has agreed to pay for starter and several other issues. MAN of his word or should I say sales persons implied promises.I salute the entire organization (Larry, manager & Dave, head mech. They are a Big Bear Dealer and service center but took my BD on consignment because it was clean and priced right. It lasted 4 days. Left Coast Kustoms Oceanside Ca This is a TRUE RED WHITE & BLUE AMERICAN COMPANY!!! See a lot of negative BS on these fine American machines but most of the time I think the problem is with the people that own them. Give Left Coast Kustoms a shout out. Thanks for hearing me out Rainer. With my limited computer skills the link probably won't work but you'll figure it out.Can view my BD on thier wesite (used 2005 BD Chooper -sold- pearl, tribal knives -$700.00)

Welcome.

You should have a leak free BDM. And the starter leaking is a common and bad problem. THe seal goes bad and it staturates the starter, which later will cause more problems with it.

Rainer, is this the one? Also, is that a busted headlight or has it been reloacated. Why did you sell it and what is the $700.00 comment about?

yes this is my BD. I got them to come down $700.00 off asking price. The head light was replaced by original owner. He said it wouldn't fit on top because it's larger. He sold factory light. I do have factory handle bars struts & pipes if anyone is interested.

Do you know what kind of headlight it is, Rainer? I've been looking at a few, but would not want that kind of "fit."

Doesn't have anything but an A inside a shield symbol. I know that since I've adjusted it to light up the road instead of the fender I like it a lot better!

RIDE IT HARD!!!
Rainer, nice Dog. Have fun with it and it sounds like that's an Arlen Ness headlight.
