leaking tranny fluid

My ridgeback is leaking tranny fluid near the drain plug. :bang: It leaks over onto the final drive belt and I end up with small oil splatters on the rear tire.

It looks like there's a screw that connects to an elbow that the drain plug screws into (it's leaking on the screw that connects to the engine and elbow). Now sure how to go about tightening it. Anyone know?

actually, it looks like the leak may be coming from the final drive gear area. Like the pushrod or something. Anyone know if it's a pain to get the final drive gear off?

take it out the drain plug and wrap some teflon tape on it then put it back in,you will have to change the oil,as it will drain when you pull the plug..i have the high heat teflon in a tube, works good..

Thanks for the input guys :2thumbs:

Ok, I can confirm it's leaking at the drive pulley area and not at the drain plug.

sul- Looks like you called it man. So there's just a single nut that I need to tighten? Where abouts is it located? In front or behind the pulley? Will I need to take out the clutch pushrod to get at it? Any additional info to help a noobie like me is greatly appreciated

I'm picking up my service manual saturday afternoon. :2thumbs:

Another question, I got it down to the pully nut. That is one big ass nut  How the hell do I get it off? Do they sell adapters that big?

Here's a pic from another thread (once again, thanks raywood!)
