Leaking Baker Six Speed

I have a 05 Chopper that I bought last Summer and this Fall noticed the same leaking. The guy I bought it from said they had the seals done...but I don't know if I really trust him. Just called Baker this morning and it's only about $100 - $150 to bring it to them and have them do it...will probably go that route. My brother ended up having to replace all the gears and everything inside his to the tune of about $2200...so we DEFINATLY want to avoid that...

$100-$150 for what? Not for a rebuild...

I will tell you that before you do anything, read all the posts here related to transmissions and ask questions. With the forum and especially bigdogtech1's help, I not only fixed my transmission issue but also learned about some important updates I needed and how to troubleshoot my tranny. You can save a ton of $$$ by talking to folks here who have tons of experience and are more than happy to help out. Hate to see anyone spend $2,200 when they can get the same if not better for less than half that.
