The new ehc is not available for your scoot till May?

Who will charge you 8 houirs for the WP install?

How about we start from the begginning and go thru the symptons and what you have done to arrive at this point.

Where are yiou located?

There are how to's here on the wire plus install.
There have also been ehc's on eBay and on here from time to time.
If you want to ride, it may be time to wire it yourself.
With the how to info and some patience it is not that hard to do.
Plus you will know more about the bike if things go wrong in the future.

It's Winter --perfect time to strip that POS EHC out and do it yourself.

You'll be WAY better off taking your time and doing it yourself. The information is ALL here on the forum and a BUNCH of folks here have done it.

I try not to be a hater, but I wouldn't trust ANYTHING out of the factory on the EHC replacement. Let's all just face it....

You can do it yourself in 8 hours or less!!! I do 2004 models in under 4 hours. If you can find a 2004 backbone harness and send it to me with your coil cover, I'll pre wire it for you and install the switch for $300. And I have Wire-Plus modules in stock.

Now that is a hell of an offer.
If you are timid about wiring it yourself that is a great deal.

Welcome to the lb; the guys have already covered you're solution. My question; would you mind sharing with us your location, the name of your used dealership and the type of bikes you cater to?

I saw the harness for a 2004 on Fleebay !!!!

Ray is glad my scooter has no more ECH issues!!! The hardest part is reading those tiny, tiny numbers. You will like the new switch better as well!

About 1-1/2 years ago I bought an ehc wire harness on ebay that is supposed to be for a 2004 chopper. It is in a bag with the part number 172-00016 written on it. I later bought an 08 Mutt so I will never use it. $10 includes free shipping and it's yours. If anyone is interested PM me.

I wonder how come BDM is not buy up the wire plus units and installing them in the bikes seeing how it is a proven solution. I use a Thunderheart unit myself but I have not heard one bad thing about the wire plus..... My Thunderheart controller is doing the job well also... No issues..:2thumbs:
It seems BDM is keeping the owners on the back burner with the EHC....
More reasons to see Jake than the company I guess......
I have talked to Coleman, Bob and their personal lawyer in person on my visit to Kansas.........Another story for another time...

I am in the process of putting one in an 04 chopper now. Not as hard as I thought it would be. Jake gives pretty detailed instructions for it. Still have a few questions b4 I can finish. Waiting for a PM back. Bonus!!!! I sure know a lot more about my bike after installing it. Bigger Bonus!!!!!! More time to ride it now too.
