landmark gascaps

while painting my sheetmetal this winter i needed to remove gascap paintsaver in doing so those of you that allready know the paintsaver has some sort of glue,for me i got lucky and was a simple task,but there was a rubber gasket between the paintsaver and the tank,that had glue on it and i thought it was best to replace,so i called landmark gascaps cause i am under the impression we have landmark gascaps..the woman at landmark said they have not manufactured the caps for bigdog for the past 3 years and that all their gas caps are stainless steel and the ones on our later model bikes are billet.so it seems to me that we have been under the impression we all have landmark gascaps and are giving them a bad rap when in fact we dont even have there product on our bikes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so now i gotta call bigdog and try to get this gasket...........................i cant ride without it

She told me the same thing and somebody from BD told me the gas caps that are now stainless are coming from japan,china somewhere over there.so i asked if i could have a phone# or something, the kid at BD said all he has is a e-mail.i said thats all you have ?no other contact?he's reply nope.holy shit and this is how they buy things?sight unseen,nothing else to go buy??HELLO So i tried the email.... can't get threw.oh well???

If your gas cap looks like this... it uses the landmark paint saver ring removal tool. uses their landmark removal tool, must be a landmark.

Talk about beating a dead horse,ok the name of the co. is called" Zodiac Enterprises"thats where the new ratcheting gas caps are coming from. like i said before it's either in china,japan,indonesia,pakistan, zimbabwe you guys get the point..

the only reason i even mentioned this was because personally i was under the assumption from what i have read here on the forums ,that i had landmark gas cap and i dont and i didnt know how many others mis understood!!!!!!!!!!!!!
