I have one that is very similar but it is the leather material. The leather is less likely to leave scratches than the Cordura type. That said with it mounted up there and with wind force, expect to get some scratching on the trees, normall very light and easy to get out.

It needs to be secured very well to prevent constant movement from the wind. Also if it rides against the headlight bucket, expect some wear in the chrome there.

Overall it works good but if you are hyper about possible scratches, best to avoid. Sissy bar and bags would be best bet for least likely scratchinig.

Good luck

Gotcha. I'd like to get a sissy bar but I've reshaped my struts and don't see an easy way to mount one back there without screwing up the lines of the bike. I do put blue tape on my headlight when I tie a bag up there so I should be ok. It's all chrome; trees, bars, etc now so I'm a little more wary of scratching.

TRUE COLORS COLLISION
SAME HERE MOE, had something similar wasnt leather did make for some scratching on the aluminum, have allways been a form over function kinda guy and had to lower my standards and image as you might say and got the sissy bar and tbag set up from SADDLEMAN for times when a must have is inevitable,of course would much rather ride with just my seat and open fender in back with that bad assed chopper look ..but it just dont allways pan out that way...it got me sooooooo bad i actually even ordered the luggage rack also....i am gettin older...who knows ..

I use a roll bag similar to that and it works out well for me. I can't do the strut / sissy bar combo right now so the roll bag does it for me without compromising appearance too bad and it's much more affordable.

Turk you were the guy I followed out to Perry Hall when I blew my head gasket right? Thanks for slowing up for me. I noticed that roll on your bike but forgot to ask you about it. I'd love to add a sissy bar, but like I said I've cut and reshaped my struts to allow for the Joker low profile blinkers. Getting the sissy bar struts would also require me to ditch my blinkers and go back to the clunky stalk types that I hated and I'd have an extra hole in my fender that they won't cover! Hell, the way it sits right now, I strap a friggin backpack to my front end, this has gotta be better than that!

moe I have the exact bag and it works great. I added sheep skin cover sleeves that you use to strapp your bike down during shipping. The top two go around the mirrors and the bottom go around the turn signal perfect. You will have to get some sheep skin and glue to the bottom of the bag to prevent scratches on the headlight housing. It actually works good as a windscreen, but a little hairy at 100 mph!
