Killing the Kickstand.....

I know this won't apply to a lot of you guys out there with the newer dogs but any info is good.

I have an 03 Chopper, and my kickstand has been ground down so bad from dragging the ground that I had to buy a new one. ( new to me anyway). For those of you with the KS mounted to the forward controls are you having scraping issues when making lefts? Any time I cross a street with an apex in the center I grind my KS on the road. It is tight and not hanging loose so I'm at a loss for how to keep from dragging the thing.

Thanks

Jay

Not entirely true... it was proven on MythBusters that only making right hand turns can not only save time, but gas as well.

It all depends on when you decide to only make right turns. If it happens in a city you'll be sh*t outta luck. It will be like a bikers version of Groundhogs day!!!

I put the newer style (rear mounted) kick stand on my 03 and it's so much better.

I think Ray's gotcha covered TI, but in the meantime remember:

Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.

I drive for UPS. That right turn thing is crap. If you follow there UPS developed software, it has you crossing so many intersections, that it waste time and adds miles to your planned day. This may not apply every where but the reason the miles were cut, is because the drivers know what they are doing.

My brother drives for UPS too. He says the same thing. If he did the route their way and not the smart way he'd get bitched at for OT everyday.
