I have finally found the keyless ignition I've been searching for (I've tried Guard Dawg, etc.), :::: The K.I.L. - The Keyless Ignition Lock :::: I found this keyless ignition system after searching the web, talked to the owner/inventor (Art Dunnier) about the systems security, hook up etc.. Well here I am and I couldn't be happier! I had the KIL system mounted into my new top motor mount (thanks goes to GasMan for the motor mount ideas), I also am running the Wire Plus EHC elimination kit (thanks to Jake).

With the KIL system I just press in a code (which you choose), the blue (any color can be had) LED comes on and I start the bike at the hand controls just like normal. Works perfectly, and was very easy to install !! :2thumbs:

Pictures are coming!!!!

RC - I've only had the bike up to idle (it's raining this morning), the buttons weren't hot at all. I can't remember my stock coil cover getting too hot either, I know the old key would get hot though. I'll have to post up after riding for a while.

Thanks for the comments all (yeah, those crocks are my favorite around-the-house shoes!)

How hot do the buttons get after riding a while?

I've been riding quite a bit the last few weeks in different types of traffic, slow bumper-to-bumper, 100 mile trip with some friends, back and forth to work, etc.. I got to admit I like this new keyless ignition more and more!! I still have a lock for the disk, but that's the only key I have for the bike now. No issues with heat or vibration (it's a rigid nuff said).
