key get to hot

If i take a twenty minute ride and I park my bike take my key out ,the key is pretty hot , can somedody tells my they have the same problem or is there something wrong with my ignition.:confused:

How about you take a temperature and post it and I'll measure mine for comparison? Mine is fairly warm to hot. I'll be out of town for three weeks but will post my temperature when I get back if you'll post yours first.

You might be missing the little gaskets that mount between the coil cover and the heads. Those usually help with heat dissipation... Just saying

Do you have the factory key that has the black plastic on the big end? I know I got a duplicate key made that was all bare metal and I said " dam...thats hot"

Have the factory key , but still hot , but if I read the replay from your guy,s than I am not the only one that gets my fingers burn:cheers:
