I wish I had more money.
Gas.. You say 2 large for the chrome? That is a big bullet. I would love to do that but the budget won't alow. Do you think the powder coating is about the same?

My wheels are black powder coated (Rolland Sands) but I use Zaino on the chrome wheels on my Corvette. It works great and takes no effort.

For removing brake dust etc nothing like a nice soaking with simple green and rinse a couple of minutes later to get rid of the crud. Polishing those wide ass tires out back on the other hand truly sucks why I went chrome after a year of doing it

i use aluminum cleaner made in wildwood, fl and sold at 75truckstop on I-75 just south of ocala. but i also remove and wetsand both rims before each daytona event. hence, polishing is a rather simple and quick task. as for in-between cleanings, i just use a standard quick detailer from wallyworld. i also use non-chlorinated brake cleaner to remove grease, dust and crap from tight area around the engine and tranny.

good luck.

Always bragging about how quickly I can clean my bike up until I get to that F^%#$ rear wheel, I decided to toss the buffing wheels and go simple. Go to any truckstop and pick up some Magic Mix polish, it goes on easy and wipes off to a brilliant shine. Alcoa also makes an easy polish. To clean them I use a hand steamer that safe takes all the dirt off. Total time to clean and polish is about 20 minutes. Truckers is the number one target for metal and aluminum polish and most of them work great.

Meguiars Swirl X works good on aluminum and paint. Then go over both with Meguiars NXT 2.0. Really nice shine.

:roll::roll::roll::roll: So fkn true! Bout the ONLY way you'll ever get away from polishing!!!

As for me...If they're real bad and I want a deep cut, I use Wizards. Otherwise, just Mothers with a powerball or cone. Works great.
