Its me again, Talked to Jim today about my thoughts on belt size. We have been emailing back and forth with questions I had for a month or so. I wanted to talk to someone in person now that I'm ready to buy. Guess what Jim ansewered the phone and was very helpfull. Took his time and answered all my questions Great Guy. Still have a problem 4" or 5" it will be one or the other. The rational me says 4" the insane me says 5 :bang:. Just wanted everyone know how helpfull Karata is and a great discount too... I'll send pks after the install with the belt drive and the nitrous system  thats almost complete. TKS to everyone for all the info I have read on this site:2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

5" if you don't like to lean in the turns. I was concerned about whether a 4" would be too much. Trainguy has a 4" and is alright with it. Hell I drag the BR's on every RH curve.

Carpetman,

I am in the same boat. I plan on having one installed in the spring, but I haven't decided which size. My only concern with the 5" is it getting in the way of my left leg. Comfort normally isn't a huge concern, but if my foot barely gets on the peg because of the primary I think I would regret it. Let us know which way you go and how you like it when it is done.

That was my concern also, after talking to Jim its about 6.5 " inside to outside. Close on the 5" about 5.5 on the 4". I paid my bills now I may have no choice but the 4' no mater it will be cool:up:

The one thing I don't like about them is they are not chrome. Other than that they look awesome. I really like yours Bruce.:2thumbs:

All I can say is that I was told powdercoating was OK as it could be removed at the mount points, but chroming was not.

Something about uneven thickness.

Rub, do you have any close up pics, and who did your chrome work, and what was the cost? Thanks.
I use this guy that works in his back yard and goes by chromeshop.net as far as cost I think it was around 200 bucks as far as not beein even I figure its a belt drive not no presise machine...I figure to many folks spend to much time studyin on why stuff shouldnt work and to many dealers are doin the same thing to us to shit us outa more money just like chromin the drive... if you study about it what does thickness have to do with anything cause you line up the pulleys not the backin plate and if you dont chrome the bearing support covers thare haint no issues with alinement on it
