K9 won't turn with a new key

My friend lost the key to his 08 K9 so he got a locksmith to make a new key but it won't do anything. Don't know what it could be. Does anyone have any ideas?

That needs to be clarified a bit. You mean it won’t start or the key won’t turn or engine won’t turn over or what?
Does the key turn as it should?
Does the headlight and warning light panel light up?
Push ‘run’ button then push the start button—-does the starter engage and turn over the engine?
Does it turn over and not start?
Remove the panel to see the EHC lights.
Get it?
Please elaborate so we can help.

I believe we have figured it out. The key wasn't turning completely over so we took it apart n the tumblers are bent. Thank you very much for trying to help but if this doesn't work I'll be back.

Just a thought It is possibly different by now. Mine ole scooter is a 2004 Ridgeback, It got left at my daughter's on it's way back to the original owner. No one knew where the key was,,,, but that switch would turn on everything, crank and run with an X-Mark zero turn lawn mower key. I replaced that switch, two keys with it. I took it for a ride and it ended up at my house.
