K9 with 107

I haven't posted on here for years! Hope you all are doing well! I've had two 2003 BDM choppers but sold them and am dogless now.

I realize BDM didn't make a K9 with a 107. I've heard its a bulletproof engine and I love the two 107's I had. But I've always really wanted a K9, not another Chopper.

Would it be crazy to find a (black) K9 project bike, put on a 107, keep the rhd, and totally rewire old school? Sounds like my perfect next bike.

Thoughts??

Welcome back to the Dog Pound. Sounds like a tall task but I suppose it’s possible if you acquired all the said pieces. 107 is a great motor no doubt. Good luck & don’t be a stranger if you get going on it!

I have not heard of many problems with the 117 motor, you might go that route and save yourself time and money

If you are thinking new, the S&S offering is the 111 Evo. The 107 is no longer being made. Just swapped out my tired 107 for the 111. Loving it.

I have bikes with the S&S 107 ~ 111 ~ 117 inch motors. Although I always considered the 107 inch my little hot rod, I really like the smooth square motor of the 111 Don't think you would be disappointed with any.
