Yep, the August issue of Motorcyclist magazine has this comparative road test in it (p.50). Of course, the K9 wins hands-down, but they weren't too kind to it regarding ride quality. Whatever...they spend 90% of their time test riding crotch rockets, so what do they know? :loony::rant:

There's also an interview with Dennis Hopper, an article on the Captain America chopper and one on the Indian comeback. I don't subscribe to this rag (V-Twin mags only for me), but this had enough articles of interest in it that I picked one up yesterday.

Thought it might be of interest if you're looking for 'throne-time' reading material..

Somebody also recently compared the Coyote to the Fury. I can't imagine why these people are comparing the Fury to the Dogs. The K9 is way out of the Fury's league.

When it comes to cruisers the only thing the Honda seems able to do is
copy the styling of someone else. Can they not think on there own?:loony:

I agree with everything I have read but I do have to say the Honda's are very reliable. I have had many honda cars, 3 wheeler, generator, power washer and they run forever. But yes, not sure why they are comparing it to a big dog. Very different classes.

Yeah, and next month Hustler is doing a comparison: Real momen vs. Blow up dolls.
Rolex vs. casio....... dont get it!!!!:bang:

What a way to insult Big Dog huh?
Honda VS Big dog....:job:
i think the guy who thought in comparing a REAL Vtwin vs a metric,
-dont know s**t about bikes
-rides an '84 Honda Hawk (super hawk!!!)
-and obviously, his salary level is so down, he opted to receive a Hondas bonus!!! (maybe the market would think of a furly as second option for a bike).

C"mooooooooon !!!

Relax...it's just some mindless material to read while sitting on the throne.

The guy reviewing the K9 complains about the extreme reach to its "ape hanger" handlebars, for cryin' out loud!:job: So much for his credibility!:loony:

Apples & oranges are closer in similarity than a Big Dog K9 and this plastic Honda 'Wannabe'. Some of these mags are desperate and will publish anything. I'm surprised so many of them are still in business, to tell you the truth.

For the record, I would much rather read about a complete 1,000 mile road test of the new 2010 Bulldog Bagger from a legit V-Twin magazine by 5 experienced V-Twin riders....but, you take what you can get. Ride safe, and Enjoy Life!!! :2thumbs:

Just read the same article as well. I laugh at the authors who are supposedly motorcycle "riders". I have never heard such whining about how difficult it is to ride a measly 300 miles. All I can say is that I have done four times that distance on my chopper in 18 hours and other that being tired (from lack of sleep the day before) I could have finished my journey. I was not sore nor had to hang on for dear life.

Maybe the mag should hire someone who weighs more than 100 pounds and actually has the strength to twist a throttle and squeeze a clutch. Given the bitchin' they did about a little ride, I think their riding anything more than a moped to the end of the street and back would be considered a cross country journey for them. Just make sure the scooter is an automatic with linked braking, I don't think they could hang on too long....

Well, what else are they going to compare it to????:roll::roll:

I think the average guy, not even a rider, could SEE the difference between the two bikes. Now, if Honda went with a bigger motor and paid some real attention to the looks and design, they could have a real contender (at least for those who wouldn't mind riding a metric).

I saw a Fury at the Newport Motorcycle Rally this weekend. It was parked next to an AIH Texas Chopper. The Fury looked like a plastic toy next to the AIH. I will try to get some pictures up later.
