I am a long legged individual and am trying to get farther back against the fender for some more leg room. I am trying find out if anyone has rode the Streamline Solo offered for the '07 K9's and if it sat them back more so than the stock seat. The 2.5" extended controls are just not enough. I will probably just have to machine some forward plates to move the controls farther forward..................:loony:

hadn't heard of it, but if you need more room and want to have a custom seat done, check with "seatmaker" and he can trim out the seat to fit your butt and finish the seat just about any way you want it.

At todays BDM parts prices maybe you should see an orthopedic surgeon and have him shorten your legs 2 or 3 inches - might be cheaper!!

Just funnin' ya!

Welcome to the forum snypr!!!

I didn't even know they made a Streamline Solo! But I would also suggest talking to our seat guys on here, we have a couple of them now.
Also, are your arms as long as your legs? Moving the seat back will shorten your reach!

As for the fwd control plates, only the brakeside has a plate that you could fabricate but the shift side is all one piece so would be a lot of work to fabricate the whole shifter piece.

Might check out some of Kuryakyn's pegs as they make some dogleg pieces that may give you some stretch.

Good luck,
Ray

I have the solo seat on mine and it does sit you back a little more than the stock seat. I'm 6'2" and I don't have the forward extensions and I stay confortable on long rides. The longest ride has been 200 miles and I stopped once for gas going to Mrytle beach from Concord, NC. You can see a pic under my gallery.

I have a 38" inseam and after about 75 miles its time to change something up. My arms are as long so the sliding back won't effect my reach on the handlebar. What is the comfort comparison between the sock solo and the streamline solo?

snypr--you are a big boy. i am 6'4" and my k-9 seat is a custom. it looks much like the one you linked above. i love mine and it fits me perfectly. but, before i would spend that kind of money, i would try some seats to see how they feel--not only your legs and ass but getting it just right for your arms. mine does not have much padding so it is both further back and a bit lower. i can't say that i miss the padding since i have a fat ass.
let us know how it works out for you, chuck
