K9 starter issue

Please help!! Got an 09 K9 in the uk. Only done 380 miles, but its never run since i got it delivered. Starter won't turn the engine over. Battery looks good, with green light on battery conditioner. The solenoid clicks in momentarily, then releases before engine cranks. I can turn engine over by hand in 6th gear using the front pulley, but the starter just doesn't want to turn, even with booster cables attached. The copper lead from solenoid to starter looks like its been hot, with the black rubber sheath broken up. I have tried to disassemble the starter, but the main body won't separate, and a little lug has fallen out of the side of the starter. Any advice/opinions welcome. Thank you guys!!!!

Green light on tender doesn't mean much of anything; make sure you've got quality battery that will delivery the goods under load (CCA). Check the voltage and voltage drop.
Sounds like you might need a shop to rebuild that starter now that you've tried.
Get those 2 sorted out and you should be fine.

I wish I had more money.
I would make sure that the green wire is connected as well. The clicks you are hearing may just be the compression releases. Make sure the green wire has a good connection and that is is intact.

put in new battery as you need full power to crank these motors , use your finger and push down the de-compression manually as maybe they are stuck closed ,
my buddies k9 is the same sometimes
hopefully this will get it to run

:2thumbs:Yep, you need a good battery (have the Cranking amps checked), good connections, and the compression releases need to work.:2thumbs:
