I've got an 08 K9 that sat for 8 month or so and the battery went dead. Replaced the battery and it won't do anything click, crank nothing. It has the original EHC and an S&S VFI for the fuel Injection.:bang:. Ive cleaned the EHC connections and added new dielectric grease and ran down all the wiring under the seat.

nothing? could be the circuit breaker/fuse. don't know where it's located, never had the problem.
Not to many fuses. The ones I found are good though. This is my first BD so Im learning. BTW theres only two LED's light on the EHC One green that flashes and one yellow that stays on. When I push the run button another red led lit up and when I push start the one next to that one lights up and stays lit till I hit the kill button

There are 2 circuit breakers that have a push button on the end of them. trace your voltage regulator wire to them and see if one is tripped. one is for the efi module and efi sensors. 20 amp I believe. the other sends voltage to the battery.40 amps. Is you starter grounding out?

Isn't there 8 to 9 volts on the green wire and when you press "start" the EHC kicks in the full 12 volts to energize the starter solenoid.
It stays 9v and doesn't change
Should the buttons stay in? these are not. I checked for continuity its 0.00 olhms. (no wires connected)

yes the buttons stay in on the circuit breakers when power is applied and you push them in.The ignition module is located under the right electrical cover if you are sitting on the bike.Right behind the ehc.on the efi bikes its called a vfi module or ecu.itd made by delphi and sold by S@S

Your battery was fully charged when you installed it??
SURE you didn't miss a ground wire when you hooked them all back up???
I would check the ground battery cable,make sure its good,clean and tight to where-ever it grounds to
..then if it still don't crank,hook up a remote starter and see if it will bump over:up:........If nothing then maybe call Curtis and have him test your EHC,he can do a full function test for only 45$.....That will ELIMNATE a ton of frustration,and you have a good baseline to start with:2thumbs:......Hope ya get it going,keep us posted.......

Dave there is a light call out for the ehc on this sight if you research it.Did you try a reset on the ehc if it is the newer black one?

The led on the EHC lights up when the buttons push so I assume the start button is funtioning correctlyCan it in your start button only a todd.
