K9 market soft or stable?

With now the bdm performance recently folding ain't doing any favours to the value that's for sure.

Bought an 07 K9 last July with the chrome kit and two sissy bars plus a trailer for 15,800. I was very happy with the deal. Since then I have had the transmission rebuilt by Andrew and the starter repaired by Curtis and bolted on a baker open primary which I bought from Mick. Still trying to come up with a paint scheme other than the solid red. Just a little off subject, but any custom bike you buy is going to need "lovin".

Absolutely!! The electronics are pretty much the only concern. Everything else can be purchased from the vendors that made the parts such as S&S and Baker. The sheet metal can be fabricated by someone who's into that kind of thing. I would not worry about getting parts just yet. I think we can keep these bikes alive for many years to come. And I, along with many others on here plan to help do so :2thumbs:

I think the ehc stigma has hurt our values. To bad there is so much mis-information out there about it. I bet it scares off a lot of potential buyers. Only takes one uninformed person to say "those bikes all have bad computers" before the word spreads like a disease.

I am i love with my K9, and i already have to rely on guy's like Andrew, Don, and Donna.
So provided we all support these people who support us and our bikes as Andrew say's we should be riding for quite a while yet.
For us here in Australia, it will depend on our Politicians who have already outlawed the outlaws(1%ers) all gangs, while discriminating against us regular Joe's via the police force at the same time. One social club rider put his encounter on youtube as of last week i think it had close to 900,000 hits. Very heavy handed fo someone who has a leather vest on and a CVO Harley and had pulled in to get Gas.

I bought my 9 new and I would not sell it for what I paid for it. The economy is bad and there are desperate people out there this brings some great deals, it's a buyers market anything you want is on sale somewhere, sad for some great for others.

Agree, have a good battery (charged) and Your connections under controll, and the Dog/EHC runs like hell:up:

Chopper values has gone in waves since the 60's and always will. Right now the value is in baggers as that's the hot item right now. Fear not, choppers will again be hot and the values will go up again. It's just a trendy cycle as with most other toys…. Many of us, me included, don't give rats a$$ about the trend and love the chopper right now as we always have. So being a buyer right now, you are in luck and can get yourself a nice bike for a few $$$, that eventually will be the hot item again, if you care about that at all, something most of us don't.
