K9 just up and died.

Riding along and died, no power no lights nothing. At first I thought maybe I had bumped the key to the off position because that is how it acted but was still in the on position. Pulled over looked things over under the seat, turned the key off and back on and everything was fine. Ran her back home without any problem. Can't find anything wrong so far.
Is this the start of my electrical problems or is there something in particular I should look for? 2008 K9 2600 miles.

check all battery connections good, make sure they are clean, tight and everything connected. looking around under the seat may have wiggled something so it started working again.

Hmmm, send it to my house and I'll ride it to make sure none of the gremlins show up again to be on the safe side....hahaha

Check the red wire in the JST connector going to the Thunder Heart ign module. Mine worked out and would intermittently do that.

Crank her up and wiggle the key, it may just be the ignition switch. Others on here have had that problem before, do a search and you may find a post or two that will get you a straight answer. My bet is on the ignition switch.

Still haven't found anything. Cleaned all battery connections. Need to figure out how the electrical covers come off to check connections, I think there is a light on that shouldn't be on under there. Bike is runnung great. Will be checking the ignition switch next.

How can you check out the regulator before your standing along side of the road with your thumb up you ass?
Also how do you get the electrical covers off a K9? Thought I had it but they just didn't want to come off, I'm missing something. Thought In would ask before I break something.

Take the 2 plugs/screws out of the top of each cover under the seat and then the cover goes down to come off the lower pins (front bottom of the covers) and remove.
