K9 frame specs

Hello all, new poster here. I'm looking to learn a lot from you all and will be grateful for all the help. My question is about the frame specs on the K9. I'm going to build a chopper to add to my collection and I've always loved the K9 styling. I'm trying to find out the backbone stretch, downtube stretch and rake°. Thank you all in advance for your help. I've found a reference somewhere that the measurements are +4" backbone, +8" downtube and 42° rake. Can someone correct me or confirm my numbers?

Thanks, I really appreciate it. Nice to meet you guys. You wouldn't happen to know anybody who has a frame laying around anywhere would you? Who knows, I may get lucky.

Welcome from Louisiana,
I happen to have a rigid frame that I bought for a project & never used with those exact dimensions that's made out of 1-1/2" tubing I would consider parting with if you are interested.

Did they change the rigids over the years?

The 2004 is a 37 degree and 3 in the trees.

Not to sure about that,
I had the frame I spoke off built to my specks about 7 years ago by a company called Copperhead Road. It has 38 deg neck rake that works perfectly with a set of 5 deg trees with 10' over forks. Trail works out to 4-1/2".

Welcome from NY
Watch E bay for rollers - will save alot of time and $
Also watch salvage yards such as COPART.
I encourage you to build your own as I did .
I bought my frame from Daytec -unfourtunately they are out
of business . Rolling Thunder from Canada would probably build one for you .
The easiest way to do it is buy a used bike and tear it down and make it your own .
There was a 05 Chopper here on BDB for 7 grand = I have about that in my motor
You get the point .
Also registering a home built bike wasen't a great experience either .
If theres any info I can help you out with don't hesitate to send me a PM .
If you need to be inspired Do a search in the general forum right here
on Big Dog Biker - Home Dog alive and barking
Good luck !

I really appreciate it. Sucks about Daytec, I just saw that they closed the doors just a while ago. I'm keeping my eyes out for good deals on here and other places. Deals are there, just got to go out and find them. What engine did you go with for your build?

Have you tried contacting bigdogpartsking? I know when my 2008 Mastiff frame was cracked, they had a frame in stock. Just saying...:D

I used an S&S 96 inch .
Big as it gets with out the compression releases.
The bike has plenty of get up n go - more than enough for
these types of frames - lets face it these bikes don't handle
the greatest > excellent in a straight line > but they don't
corner worth a shit - anyone tells you differently they never rode a
bike that does !.
Did you do the search and check out my Home Dawg post ?
I think there's about 3000 reads on it .
Actually would like to see someone do a reply on it and bring it back up
I'm sure there are a few new members that might enjoy the read . Very emotional
for me as building my bike is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life.
Keep us posted.
