K9 fork tube length

Hi all, I'm new here, been trolling for a while and am wondering what the length of the fork tubes are on my 07 K9? I know they are 12" over, but 12" over what. I guess I have no clue what base they started with.

That would be +12 over 24-1/4".
24-1/4" is a stock length for many 1980 series through 2000 something Harleys
