Hey, no offense dude. But those numbers seem very HIGH for basically a stock motor. Do you know if his machine was calibrated for altitude and such?

No gas analyzer done?

Nice looking bike.

barhopper

Another round please
Yea, I agree. They are for sure wrong. I have more work done and I don't have those numbers. To each his own. Lets drag and see who really can ride.

I have no idea but my buddy ran his Harley down there too and his is a 88 ci K&N airfilter V&H longshots Fuel injected his ran 78 Hp wich is a very true number for the 88 are shop does alot of HP shootouts i would have to think that it was set up properly and the numbers on the 88 are dead on for what most get out of it. Heck that other 07 K-9 stock on here just pipes and air cleaner ran 106Hp

You can see K9Huskers a little lover here and he has head work, higher compression and a 650 cam and he only pulled a 130hp! Not to forget about all the work bahopper put in his also.

Not being offensive just asking a question. There seems to be some controversy here on adjusting the dyno machines to 0 atmospheric conditions or something like that.

well i am going to have to believe the dyno unless someone can explain how my buddys harley is dead on for its horsepower and they were ran same day by same person we have three other dyno's around my area i will take it to one of them and check it on thiers also when i get some time. And as far as barhoppers goes if i only got 7 HP from the mods he has done i would be pissed off Hot bike did an article and Dyno run with a Stock K-9 117 just K&N filter and Big Rad pipes and a 31 Int jet with a 76 main and pulled 106 HP and 116 Tq Barhoppers Dyno only shows 114hp and a 124 tq for the work he has done that is way low and i would of blew up

Not trying to give you a hard time but we've seen dozens of dyno graphs on these things here and on a previous site. Never have we seen even close to those numbers with just a .600 cam change. It doesn't show the correction factor which most dynojets do. If your conditons were better than the standard your numbers could be off on the high side. Also, what did they do to pick up that much power between runs?

just tuned my carb after i got it back from XXX. And adjusted my timeing that is what i had it there for dyno tune and all i am saying is a virtually stock K-9 just pipes and aircleaner (you can look at brianlo dyno just below mine and hot bike Mag ran a 106 hp and 112 to 116 tq) if i would have only gained 7 hp over that i would have shot the guy that did the work. And still the harley was dead on for its numbers so everyone is saying the Harley shop Ran it right and mine Wrong ? come on:bang:

Ok, so you have a XXX and aftermarket ignition. That certainly helps but I still want to see the correction factor. You very well may have made that much power but it may not have been corrected to standard. The reason all dynos have a correction factor is, so you can dyno and engine or bike in any conditions and come up with relatively the same results.

For instance, here is the dyno sheet from my 69 Camaro chassis dyno a couple months back. My car really made around 40-50 hp and tq less due to my elevation and thin air. But it was corrected to standard. The 1.07 correction factor means I would have made approx 40-50 hp more a 0 elevatoin with optimal conditons. My point is your conditions may have very well been better than standard. I grew up in Iowa and know you're at low elevation and it was 70 with fairly low humidity this morning. Don't take it personal dude, I'm just trying to enlighten you to the ways of a dyno.

In two weeks when i have some more time off work i will get my bike to another dyno that is close by and make sure they show those numbers my wife wants to dyno her big inch pistol chopper too then we can compare the two dynos mine from the Harley shop and mine from two wheel travel that is who will do the next one. Our Temp was 68 deg and 55% Humidity

Lets all remember that Kendall Johnson is getting 200hp out of a 124. Lots of things effect dyno runs and runs 2 mins apart can vary 5 hp. Two engines with the same mods may put down big diff's in Hp due to the whims of the HP gods. (diff's in engines off the assembly line) A few years ago i had a roadstar with cams, headwork, carb mods, etc. My friends roadstar was stock and i could BARELY pull him. He had an exceptional stock engine.
The point is, why should this guy lie, that's what the dyno said so congratulate him. "Just my 2 cents worth."

You're right Reddog. He got it done and the numbers are what they are.

I don't think anybody is saying he's lieing. The dyno graph speaks for itself. I was just simply saying there should be a correction factor on a dyno jet. If it was corrected, then he has one hell of a motor.

and when it comes down to it. Numbers mean nothing. You have to know how to ride it!
:job: :job: :job:

I like that idea and Barhoppers Lets see who can ride there dog have a little competition. Who ever has a race track in there town 1/4 mile lets see who can lay down the best numbers with there Dog. in the rules there has to be a picture of you at the Lights and a picture with your timeslip and post your slip and picture here. Cant be done on one of those drag race machines either those are way off on real life times. We have Night races here one a month to keep the kids off the street they run a red to green light just like the street lights no yellow We will have another in middle of June i will do mine then. Ive always rode mine like i stole it got 2500 miles on my last back tire :2thumbs:
