Just completed the wire plus install

Took the day off yesterday to complete the wire plus install on my 2004 chopper. It was the package deal I bought on the group buy. Only ran into two small hiccups. Did a few things a little different to make sure the wires never came out. All in all it was not that bad. Now I just need to ride it a little bit. Guess I should be having a 2004 ehc and ignition for sale here pretty quick. Anyone need any help when the start doing their 2004 feel free to ask, help as much as I can.

Congradulations Dan.. It is still kinda a weird feeling after getting stranded when my EHC fried. Now I can leave out and return on two wheels without any issues on the side of some far away interstate almost out of state.
Give me a lot more confidence of riding without issues.

Congratulations...And if you did that in one day...My hat is off to you...!!! I've been going slow doing it when I can. This was a big job for me. I'm about 2/3 done. Today I just finished grinding a bigger hole on my coil cover and tapped out two set screw holes for the new key ignition switch

I Just got two questions for you.

Did you install two inline 20amp fuse holders between the Wire Plus red wire and the battery?

And also between the ignition switch and the battery ?

Cheers Boris

The Red wire from the switch will get a fuse holder with a 20 amp fuse in it.

The Main red wire from the Wire-Plus module gets a holder with a 20 amp fuse in it.

And for added security, remove the factory 30 amp silver breaker box that the VR is ran through and solder a fuse holder on the VR wire and put a 30 amp fuse in it and hook directly to the battery as well.

fuses

Sorry just got back in town so it took me a while to respond. I put a fuse holder to the wire plus and also did the ignition. Did not do the VR fuse yet.
