Just a question. Is there anyway to adjust the oil pressure on a 2005 Big Dog Chopper.

Hi ,The oil light was flickering on my bike. I thought maybe it was a short. I installed a 60 lb. gauge to make sure I had oil pressure. The needle went all the way above 60 lb. I think it broke the gauge. Because now the gauge isn`t working at all. The light is out but has a tendency of still flickering. I`m going to put a 100 lb. gauge on. I read in the manual the with the engine at operating temp. oil pressure should be 7 - 15 lbs. So my question is can I adjust the pressure?

A flickering oil light could also mean your idle is set too low. Idle should be between 950 and 1050 rpms. Lots of people set the idle low for the loping sound but it's really not good for your engine. Raise your idle just a bit to see if the flicker goes away. Can't hurt and may resolve your issue.
